About SimpleCalc

SimpleCalc provides free online calculators for everyday questions involving construction, money, work, motoring, energy and general maths.

Each calculator is designed to answer one question quickly. Below the answer, every calculator explains the method it uses, shows a full worked example, and lists the assumptions and limits that apply, with links to the official source where the figures come from published rates or standards.

Worked examples are checked automatically against the calculators themselves, so the example on a page always matches what the page produces. Calculators are reviewed and corrected as information or statutory rates change.
