How this is worked out
Each complete year of service earns half a week's pay for years worked under 22, one week from 22 to 40, and one and a half weeks from 41. Service counts back from your current age, is capped at 20 years, and weekly pay is capped at £751.
Worked example

- 10 years of service
- Weekly pay £600
4 years at 1.5 weeks and 6 years at 1 week = 12 weeks, × £600

Assumptions and limits
- Under two years of continuous service there is no statutory redundancy pay, and the calculator returns zero.
- Weekly pay above £751 is capped at that figure for redundancies on or after 6 April 2026.
- Statutory redundancy pay only. Contractual enhancements, notice pay and untaken holiday are separate.
