How this is worked out
Statutory entitlement is 5.6 weeks, so days worked a week × 5.6, capped at 28 days. Part of a leave year is pro rated by months worked ÷ 12.

Assumptions and limits
- The 28 day cap means working six or seven days a week does not increase the statutory minimum.
- Whether bank holidays come out of this entitlement depends on your contract.
- Pro rating by whole months is a simplification. Irregular hours and part-year workers accrue leave differently.
