Weekends are skipped. Public holidays are not deducted.
v1.0 · Reviewed September 2026
How this is worked out
The calculator steps forward one day at a time from the start date and only counts a day once it lands on a Monday to Friday, until the requested number of business days has been used. A negative number steps backwards instead.
Worked example
- Start 1 September 2026
- Add 10 business days
weekends of 5, 6, 12 and 13 September are skipped
Tue, 15 Sept 2026
Assumptions and limits
- Weekends are skipped but public and bank holidays are not.
- The start date itself is not counted as one of the business days.
