How this is worked out
Time is the energy you want to add ÷ the charger power in kW.

Assumptions and limits
- A best case. It allows nothing for charging losses, so real sessions take longer.
- The car's own maximum AC or DC charge rate can be lower than the charger's, in which case the car sets the pace.
- Rapid charging tapers sharply above roughly 80% state of charge, so the last portion takes much longer than this suggests.
